Cel mai bogat in grasimi saturate (peste 80%) este uleiul de cocos, extras din nuca de cocos. De ani de zile, acest ulei se afla in mijlocul unei controverse intre oamenii de stiinta, care nu se pot hotari daca este sau nu nociv. In orice caz, uleiul de cocos este folosit industrial in alimentele coapte, in dulciuri si bomboane, in creme batute, creamer non-lactat pentru cafea, si asa mai departe.
